Demonstration Series – Using Oils
CC arts and crafts roomMary Segars’ presentation is the third in a series of demonstrations for people who want to ‘create’ but may need a little more information about what might be involved. Her demonstration on using oils is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10 from 11:00 a.m. till noon in the Arts & Crafts room. This is a demo only and it’s free but space is limited. Mary is a Lowcountry artist whose subjects are widely varied and where bold color and lights and shadows are a common element of her paintings. Mary most often works with a limited palette of primary colors and she paints quickly, wet-in-wet, leaving visual brushstrokes on the surface. Come and see Mary demonstrate her technique of painting with oils.
